An Intensive Course could be an option

Unfortunately, the backlogs created by successive COVID pandemic lockdown restrictions have created extraodinarily long waiting times for Theory Tests and Practical Driving Tests.

When the current waiting lists clear and some sense of 'normality' returns, it should become possible to teach you to drive and pass your driving test in as little as 4 to 6 weeks - provided you have a valid Theory Test pass certificate and we book your Driving Test immediately. Here's how the plan would work:

1. Book your Theory Test - waiting time around 4 weeks for a test slot

2. Study for your Theory Test - while waiting

3. Book your Driving Test - depending on availability, waiting time could be as short as 2 weeks

4. Take a 2 week Intensive Course - while waiting for your Driving Test

5. Pass your Driving Test

You must pass your Theory Test before you are permitted to book your Driving Test. If you're not too concerned about date and time, it may be possible to secure a Theory Test within a couple of weeks and take your Driving Test within a few weeks of passing your Theory Test. However, there can be no guarantee of this.

What's the benefit of an Intensive Course?

Quite simply, these courses work. Over recent years, learner pupils taking these courses have been significantly more successful than those taking a driving lesson every week or so. Most pupils find it easier to consolidate skills that have been gained in a lesson earlier that day or on the previous day.

Two driving lessons a day will enable you to gain 40 hours of tuition within two weeks. For most pupils this proves adequate to achieve driving test standard. If it turns out that you do not need 40 hours of tuition, I will refund you immediately for lessons not taken. So you could end up taking fewer lessons.

Save at least £80 when you book an Intensive Course

Minimum payment is for 40 hours of driving tuition at £47 per hour - a total of £1,880 saving £80 on the normal lesson price of £49 per hour.

Terms & Conditions

Taking an Intensive Driving Course means you will be required to pay a significantly larger sum of money upfront than if you were paying weekly. Minimum payment must be received at least four weeks in advance of the Intensive Course commencement date. If lessons are cancelled for any reason less than two weeks before the Intensive Course takes place or while the Intensive Course is taking place, you will forfeit 20 hours of pre-payment (£940).

Rather learn to drive over a longer period?

I'm happy to schedule lessons at a pace that will suit you. Many learner drivers find that one driving lesson per week or maybe two per week are ideal. Phone me on 07810 552186 to discuss what's best for you. For more details of what you'll be learning click here.
