Brilliant driving lessons. Why settle for anything less?
I’m a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor and Driving Instructor Trainer who has been teaching for over 20 years. I’ll do my utmost to ensure that your driving lessons are stress-free and enjoyable on every session. Why would you want anything less?
I love teaching people to drive and helping people to improve their driving skills. You will find me to be a patient, trustworthy and thorough teacher. I also believe that it matters to turn up on time, every time.

I can't promise that you will pass your driving test on first attempt. No driving school can promise that. However, I can promise that you will benefit from a course of driving lessons that have been carefully tailored to your learning style and abilities. And if you drive the way I taught you - you will pass first time.

Good preparation delivers great confidence
By the time your Driving Test arrives, I will have coached you through all the skills that you need to be a really safe and considerate driver.
I will help you become familiar with typical junctions, intersections and routes likely to be encountered on the driving test.
What’s more, you will be adept at Bay Parking by driving in or reversing in, Parallel Parking and Parking the car safely on the Right Hand Side of the road.
I’ll also make sure that you have gained plenty of experience of driving independently too, by following the Sat Nav, following traffic signs and using maps.
We will carefully rehearse the “Show Me / Tell Me” questions including the two questions you will be asked on your test. No, I don't know which questions you will be asked, but we will have covered them!
Effective coaching to pass your driving test
It may be stating the obvious, but many learner drivers experience signficant 'culture shock' during their driving test. Their helpful and encouraging driving instructor has been replaced by a frankly 'unhelpful' driving examiner. But this isn't the driving examiner's fault. The examiner has a professional duty to observe your driving skills, then mark them accordingly. There can be no bias or assistance given.
To enable you to cope with this change of emphasis, during your last few lessons I will increasingly say little or nothing to help you with your driving. From time to time we will pull up and I'll simply ask you to explain what you thought of your driving. What worked and what didn't. The plan is to become increasingly confident with your own decisions. I'll be looking for your opinion - before I give you mine.
Finally, to give you a really good idea of what the test feels like, we will visit the Driving Test Centre where I’ll role-play a Driving Examiner and conduct mock driving tests that closely simulate the actual test followed by comprehensive debriefs.
